Common Questions

What do I bring to my first session?

Any paperwork that was not filled out online, water (if you would like), and anything else you are told you need.

How long does each therapy session take?

We schedule sessions for 1 or 1.5 clinical hours. The duration will be established at intake and can be adjusted according to your needs.

What do I wear?

Closed toed, sturdy shoes that you are comfortable in for the whole session. Outerwear that is appropriate to the season. Clothing that you can get dirty in.

Is horseback riding offered?

No. All of our equine assisted therapy work is done on the ground.

What about bad weather or illness?

On the Farm Therapy will contact you about moving the session to teletherapy in the case of inclement weather. If you are sick but are up to meeting we will provide the session via teletherapy.

What about cancellations?

We require a 24 hour notice in order to cancel your session, otherwise you will be charged for it. Please communicate with us regarding the reason for cancelling, we will take emergencies into consideration. If the therapist needs to cancel, you will be notified as soon as possible and not charged for the session.
